Is Liveline® a CAD software?
Liveline® is not a traditional CAD software. It is a 3D line builder that uses 3D models, often created in CAD software, to help equipment manufacturers build and present proposal-ready layouts faster during pre-sales and early project planning. While CAD tools remain essential for detailed engineering and technical design, Liveline® is built for speed, collaboration, and customer-facing layout communication.
3D models created in CAD software can be imported into the Liveline® Admin tool in .stp format. From there, they are converted and configured for use in Liveline®. Once processed, they become available in your asset library and can be used alongside other components to build proposal-ready layouts faster.
